Meet Amy

Hey! My name is Amy and I am so glad you stopped by! I love connecting with other educators and am privileged you paid me a visit!

I have been teaching for 14 years and am currently teaching 3rd grade. I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade, and, of course, 3rd grade. I love the early childhood years! Our school will be opening a 21st Century building next year and I can't wait! 21st Century neighborhoods and teaching here I come!

I am a small town girl from Southeast Missouri transplanted by the Army to Clarksville, Tennessee. My 2 children consider themselves Tennesseans. I have a son who is attending the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. You really can't get much more Tennessee than that! I have had to learn how to say things like, "Go Big Orange!" and add bright orange to my wardrobe. Yikes! I also have a daughter who is a senior in high school. One of my favorite pass-times is taking pictures of my kids. My daughter tolerates this much better than my son does. Here are some of my recent favorites.

The dog is Harley. He is a 13 year old Jack Russell that is part of our family. My son is his alpha and boy, does Harley miss him when he is at school!

I started my Teachers Pay Teachers store in the late fall of 2014. I have loved creating resources for my students and am so pleased when other teachers can use them in their own classrooms. My store focuses on literacy and Problem Based Learning and STEM activities.

Be sure to follow me on Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook for the latest updates and resources! I love connecting with other teachers!

Thanks for stopping by!
